MASSIV+

An ecosystem and digital infrastructure for sustainable action to net zero

MASSIV+ is a joint industrial initiative that makes climate data shareable, accessible and actionable. The purpose is to address one of industry’s biggest challenges by establishing a common method and digital infrastructure for collecting, structuring, calculating, sharing and using sustainability data – turning climate data into real action.

The majority of industrial emissions occur across supply chains. MASSIV+ enables large companies and SME suppliers to collaborate around real emissions data – not estimates. By creating a shared language and trusted data flows, the initiative strengthens competitiveness, drives faster decision-making and accelerates the transition to net-zero production.

A partnership in motion

MASSIV+ is an initiative launched in 2022 by Microsoft, Alfa Laval, SKF, Sandvik, IKEA and Volvo Cars. Today, it brings together partners from industry, academia, financial institutions and public organisations.

With support from Vinnova, the initiative now enters its next phase. The project is coordinated by GU Ventures together with the initiating partners. Icons Of leads the technical development. The project consortium further includes FKG, EY, Nitator, Texla, HAVD Group, Heléns Rör, Preem, Vectura, Nordea, Mobility Sweden, Altiro Consulting, Ovako and the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. A new legal entity, Massivplus AB, together with a forthcoming economic association, will serve as the permanent home for the project results and the broader MASSIV+ initiative.
